About

When it comes to visiting Iceland there are certain attractions you simply cannot miss.

This tour combines two of these must-see sights, the beloved Golden Circle and the world-famous Blue Lagoon.

After meeting your guide in Reykjavik, the first stop is the Þingvellir National Park. This area is where the first Icelandic parliament was founded in 930 AD, one of the oldest on the continent. The National Park is located between the European and the North American tectonic plates, offering you an excellent chance to walk from one side of the world to the other with a few steps.

Did you know that the term geyser originates from the mighty Geysir? In order to learn a bit more, we will be stopping there, introducing you to this extraordinary natural phenomenon and its big brother, Strokkur. Strokkur is active these days and erupts every 5-8 minutes.

Gullfoss, the third stop on this tour is one of the powerful Icelandic waterfalls. In the summertime up to 130 000 liters per second are falling below and it is quite the spectacle.

After all the excitement, it is time to stop for lunch. Iceland is well known for its geothermal energy and the smart ways of utilizing this renewable form of energy.

The Friðheimar Tomato Farm is proudly using this natural resource in order to grow its vegetables and you will have the chance to taste the end result of this process. Furthermore, we will take a short tour through the greenhouse as well, so you will be able to learn a bit about the process. (the lunch is not included in the total price.)

On our way back to the capital, we will be visiting the Kerid volcanic crater as well, which is located in the Grímsnes area. The caldera is 55 meters deep and 270 meters wide. The lake, that is resting at the bottom of the crate has an unusually aquamarine blue water.

Now, that we have already mentioned water, let us head to the famous Blue Lagoon. This unique spa and wellness facility is located next to the town of Grindavik, in the middle of a lava field and its silky blue waters are said to have healing effects.

We would like to let you know, that admission to the Blue Lagoon is not included in the total price. Please reserve your tickets well in advance. The tour arrives at the Blue Lagoon at 17:00 (5 pm) and around 19:00 (7 pm) you will depart from the spa and will arrive in Reykjavik around 20:00 / 8 pm.
