Your adventure begins with a pickup from a downtown bus stop if you opt for this service. Upon arrival at our base camp, you'll be equipped with all necessary gear. Please wear appropriate footwear for the weather.
Our expert guides provide comprehensive safety instructions before the tour. Most of our guests are beginners, and we prioritize safety alongside fun.

The tour route includes scenic Lake Hafravatn and diverse terrains. Ascend to the top of Hafrafell mountain for spectacular views of the Hengill mountain range, Hellisheiði geothermal power plant, Faxaflói bay, Bláfjöll mountain range, and Esja, Reykjavik’s iconic mountain.

Most of our guests are first timers, and our skillful guides will give special care and attention to those new to the experience. The bikes are easy to operate, and before every tour, our guides will give you operational and safety instructions. The quad bikes/ATV’s are fully automatic and easy to operate, just press and play From our base camp we start the ride on a asphalt road and then take a turn into a gravel road along beautiful lake Hafravatn before heading up a mountain trail to the top of Hafrafell. Once you stand there, you get to enjoy the great view over the whole Reykjavík area and the surrounding mountain range. The Mountain Safari Tour is an excellent choice for a half day adventure. You can pick between a morning or afternoon departure, depending on your schedule, or combine it with another activity or sightseeing trip.
