Join us on a scenic journey through Iceland’s south and west, where waterfalls, volcanic craters, hot springs, and legendary landscapes come together for one unforgettable adventure. This small-group tour offers a more personal experience with a friendly guide, plenty of photo stops, and Icelandic stories along the way.
We start by driving through the charming greenhouse town of Hveragerði, where we make a short stop to grab breakfast or snacks "nesti" to fuel the day.
Our first main stop is the striking Kerið volcanic crater, with its vivid red slopes and sapphire-blue lake. A short and easy walk lets you take in the dramatic shape of this volcanic landmark from above.
Next, we head to Urriðafoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful yet completely underrated waterfalls. You won’t find crowds here, just raw glacial water and pure Icelandic nature.
From there, we continue to the iconic Seljalandsfoss, the waterfall you can actually walk behind (if you don’t mind a light mist!). Just a short drive away is Skógafoss, a massive 60-meter waterfall that creates beautiful rainbows on sunny days.
We stop in Hvolsvöllur at a cozy N1 station, where you can grab more snacks, coffee, or try the famous Icelandic hot dog, without waiting in the long Reykjavík lines!
Back on the road, we continue into the legendary Golden Circle and visit the peaceful Faxafoss, a wide waterfall set in tranquil countryside surroundings. Then comes the mighty Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most beloved waterfalls, roaring into a rugged canyon.
Nearby, the ground begins to simmer as we arrive at Geysir geothermal area, where Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes — a thrilling sight you won’t want to miss!
Our final stop of the day is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s first parliament was formed over 1,000 years ago. It’s also one of the only places in the world where you can see the rift between two tectonic plates above ground.
After a day full of natural beauty, fresh air, and Icelandic charm, we return to Reykjavík in the evening — tired but happy, and with a camera full of memories.
Throughout the day, your friendly guide will share stories, history, and maybe even a few dad jokes (mostly about waterfalls, they can get a bit over-flowing).
