About

Untamed, natural, and free, Iceland makes you feel alive thanks to its magnetic beauty. You, too, can discover the allure of our beautiful land with our Private Golden Circle Tour.

Let's explore the Golden Circle together

Designed with you in mind, our hand-crafted itinerary takes you to the world-famous Golden Circle linking Þingvellir national park, Gullfoss, and Geysir. Your private guide has an insider's view on the best experiences the place has to offer so you can count on visiting the hidden gems such as Laugavatn hot spring area and Efstidalur Dairy Farm.  And then it's up to you whether you want to add one extra activity* to what already promises to be a really fun, memorable day: be it snowmobiling or relaxing in the Blue Lagoon or the Secret Lagoon.

*Please note that only one extra activity can be added to the tour, however we always give you several options to choose from during the booking process.

Sights you will see

Þingvellir

Our first stop on the Golden Circle adventure takes us to Þingvellir, the birthplace of the first Icelandic parliament. It dates back to 930 AD, making it the oldest in Europe. Beyond its historical importance, Þingvellir provides a stunning view of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, a geological wonder dividing the tectonic plates and separating Europe from North America.

Geysir

The Geysir geothermal area is alive with bubbling mud pools and spouting geysers, both big and small. Strokkur, the junior sibling of Iceland’s Great Geysir (last active in 2016), shoots boiling water high into the air every few minutes.

Gullfoss

Gullfoss, the golden waterfall, boasts a two-tiered drop, where the Hvítá River takes a dramatic plunge into a deep crevice. If the weather is on our side, you'll catch a glimpse of the Langjökull glacier, too.

Kerið volcanic crater

Kerið is a volcanic crater situated in the Grímsnes area, part of the Western Volcanic Zone, encompassing the Reykjanes Peninsula and Langjökull Glacier. The caldera of the crater remains well-preserved, with a depth of approximately 55 meters (180 feet) and a width of 270 meters (890 feet). Adding to its allure is the stunning aquamarine blue water filling the crater's lake in the summer and freezing over in the winter.

To make the best out of your day, we can add different extra activities to the tour. Just choose the one you like during the checkout process:

  • Hvammsvik Hot Springs -  beautiful bay offering 8 natural hot springs of varying temperatures – on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Situated along the shoreline, it offers eight natural hot springs of varying temperatures – mixing geothermal water with seawater from the ocean. Recently named the Number 1 best thing to do in the world in 2023 by Timeout Magazine.
  • Secret Lagoon: Secret Lagoon natural hot springs are located in the small village called Fludir and are in the Golden Circle area. The pool’s natural surroundings and steam rising into the air gives the place a magical feeling. The warm water stays at 38-40 Celsius all year. In the whole area, there are several geothermal spots and a little Geysir which erupts every 5 minutes, showing off for the guests relaxing in the hot spring.
  • Blue Lagoon: The beneficial powers of geothermal seawater were first discovered in the early 1980s when local residents began to bathe in the serene blue lagoon that had formed in the lava field beside the Svartsengi Geothermal Resource Park. Today, many decades after the first inquisitive souls began venturing into the water, the Blue Lagoon has blossomed from a humble curiosity into a wellspring of wonder.
  • Snowmobiling: The tour starts with an adventurous Super Jeep transfer up to the glacier. There, the team will hand you all the necessary equipment and the guide will give a safety briefing. And off you go, exploring the wonders of the beautiful Langjökull glacier.
